Commissioners to approve donation from Boca Grande Disaster Fund for Wheeler Road Community Park Improvements 

If passed it will award competitively solicited contracts to American Facility Services, Inc., At Your Service Cleaning Group, Inc., and United States Service Industries, Inc. for custodial services in Lee County Central Zone, on an as-needed basis for an initial three-year period with an option to renew the contracts up to an additional three years.

It’s that time of year again. The time when everyone who dreams of being on stage auditions for RPP’s upcoming season. For two days, April 1st and 2nd, every actor and singer, new and experienced, tries out for four different shows, with four different directors. All in hopes of becoming part of a team that puts on A SHOW! 

IN THE SPOTLIGHT: DeeAnn Phillips

“Retiring” is a flexible word for DeeAnn, who will turn 85 in October. She has been unable to play standard tennis for a couple of years, but discovered pop tennis as a great substitute. It is played with the same rules as traditional tennis, but on a smaller court and with a ball that looks like a tennis ball, but has lower pressure. There are other minor changes, but she is happy she is able to be on the courts.

Cell phone tower update:

Questions regarding the layout of the site and about use of the adjacent building came into play after plans were produced by Vertical Bridge and submitted to Lee County, containing information the local committee had not seen yet. Commissioners Cecil Pendergrass and Brian Hamman made sure the agenda item was adapted to include only the tower height, not the site.

Clinic announces plans to improve facilities and services

“The Clinic’s board and CEO have been working diligently on upgrading the Clinic’s staffing and services over the last 18 months,” said Harrison Coerver, Chairman of the Boca Grande Health Clinic Board of Directors. The Clinic now has three primary care board-certified physicians, three RNs, an LPN, two medical assistants and a radiology technician. The next step is to consider ways we can improve our facilities to support the Clinic team in delivering first-rate care to patients.”
