Smart Studio hosts benefit show while looking for a new home

Wini Smart loved two things the most, painting and helping people. In her honor, Smart Studio is hosting a benefit art show and sale featuring original watercolor and oil paintings by the late artist. The show will include local scenes as well as paintings from her travels to tropical islands and Europe. Wini was the founder of Smart Studio Art Gallery, which is now owned and operated by Wini’s artist granddaughter, Rebecca Cleveland.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Thanks to concerned passerby after bike spill

Writing a note of thanks to the white car and kind gentleman passenger who stopped after seeing me tumble off my bike last Sunday on the bike/sidewalk path across from Kappy’s. Even though I waved them on and said I was fine; the gallant man said that’s ok I am here to help you anyways. After righting my bike, me, and with a final debris brushing off, I was back in the saddle again.
