Stefan Iwasiw from North Port High School will be attending the Professional Golf Management Program through Gulf Coast University. Pine View student Kendall Delagrange is headed to Florida State University.  Lemon Bay graduates Hannah Seckel, Sean Perry and Madison Hanson (attending Florida universities) also received scholarships.

Myakka Pines Golf Club has offered to host the A Better Shot junior golf program this summer.  Many thanks to their members and staff for their generosity.

A Better Shot Foundation began in 1997, formed by the board of Lemon Bay Golf Club to give back to our community. Their mission is “to engage local youth in an exciting summer program of golf and camaraderie, to impact young lives by instilling qualities inherent to the game of golf – honor, integrity, respect and perseverance – thereby giving all participants a better shot at life.”

Anyone who would like to know more information about the foundation may email mail@bettershot.org, or call Executive Director Cindy Claude at (941) 697-6445.
