Englewood Invitational Spring Art Festival to feature 40 artists and craftsmen this weekend
The Englewood Invitational Spring Art Festival is slated for Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the Englewood Elks Club at 401 N. Indiana Avenue in Englewood.
This juried art show is the brainchild of local artist, Carroll Swayze and promises to be the “Best Little Art Show in Englewood.”
“Artists are finally out and about again”, said Swayze. “The pandemic has been hard on the whole world, and it feels good to be back out in public showing our work and interacting with art lovers across the country. I spent the last two and a half years working in my studio and my new body of work is bigger and better than ever. I seriously disliked being shut in at home for so long but the one real positive in this situation has been having the time to work without interruption. My new pieces are large and colorful and I think everyone who loves the tropics is going to be happy with what I have come up with.”
The art show will showcase a small, professional group of fine artists and fine craftsmen from around the country with their incredible handmade artwork.
“This year’s show is incredible,” said Swayze. “The diversity of the artwork is exciting and beautiful; everything is created by the artists who will be here to exhibit and sell their best creations. I worked very hard to gather this group of artists together for the festival and I know that our Englewood/Boca Grande community will love what they see when they come out for the show.”
Forty award-winning fine artists and craftsmen will be featured in this high-quality juried art event and every media will be represented. The Englewood Invitational Spring Art Festival is a premiere art collecting opportunity for local homeowners and visitors as well as being a great place to spend the day.
There will be everything from handmade clothing to large original watercolors, acrylics, and oils, incredible sculpture, hand forged jewelry, pottery, photography … everything you can imagine will be represented.
The Englewood Invitational Spring Art Festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13 and will have something for everyone. Food and refreshments will be available and there will be plenty of free parking.
