BGHS says now is the time to become a member

If you have not yet joined the Boca Grande Historical Society, now is the time! Our new exhibit, “Boca Grande, Once a Railroad and Industrial Town,” is now open to the public; our Archival Research Center grows every day; and preparations for our 2019 Home Tour are nearly complete.
It’s easy to join. You can call 964-1600 or stop in at the History Center, or go to their website (bocagrandehistoricalsociety.com) to sign up online.
The Historical Society is committed to the importance of history as it relates to our everyday lives and to future generations. Our educational programs include History Bytes, where we highlight local history, often told by persons who grew up, worked and fished here. We will also present a series of free lectures this upcoming season as well as a number of day trips, all planned to help our local history come alive.
We hope you will consider becoming a member or become involved in one of our many volunteer opportunities. Your 2019 membership dues entitle you to discounts on events and trips and in the bookstore, along with advance notice of special events.
