A youth fishing tournament will be held at the 7th Street Beach Access due to the temporary closure of the Boca Grande Fishing Pier. It will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. Tournaments are for boys and girls ages 13 and under. Bait will be provided (no lures allowed). All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian for this event. This is a catch-and release-tournament.
The annual Fall Festival will be held on Friday, Oct. 25 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Festivities include bounce houses, a cake walk, tractor pictures, guess-the-candy jar count and goodie bags.
One bag of individually wrapped candy per child is appreciated (please drop candy at the Lee County Parks & Recreation office, Room 9 by Thursday, Oct. 24).
