Photographer Dr. David Caldwell caught the warmups for the Basin Sailing Yacht Club’s (the polite version of the acronym) upcoming April races in the Boca Bay Powerhouse lagoon. Test regattas are on Sundays at Boca Bay; they have raced every Sunday in season from mid-October. The sailboats are Radio Controlled Lasers; Florida is a hotbed of Radio Controlled Laser International Class Association racing and this year the state was the home of the National Championship Regatta in Marco Island.
