The Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce office has moved into a new location, but will remain closed until October 1.

The Chamber’s new location will be on Park Avenue adjacent to the Pink Pony (a.k.a. Dolphin Cove). Step into the courtyard on the south side of the building and you will see the new office tucked under the stairs.

According to Lew Hastings, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, the move should prove to be a good one.

“We really enjoyed our time in the Railroad Plaza, it was a lot of fun to be there,” he said. “When this space on Park Avenue came up for rent, though, we couldn’t resist the temptation.”

The Chamber board of directors is working now to put the new office to rights while Hastings is away at the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation, working with Okiciyapi Tipi and other organizations to help with home renovations and restoration projects.

If you need assistance from someone at the chamber prior to October 1, contact Marcy Shortuse (chamber president) at (941) 276-8646.
