Time to enter your dog in the show today!
Make sure to pick up your applications for the Boca Grande Dog Show, scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m. on the grounds of the Boca Grande Community Center.
Shown on one of the posters is “Wise Old Wiley,” who was found as a stray in the fall of 1999. According to his owner, Melanie Sullivan, Wiley appeared to be abused and neglected. It took years for strangers to be able to approach him. He can’t hear well now and follows his owners around “like a shadow,” and has some bad knees but still digs and jumps.
Also shown is a portrait of Bandit, who appreciates catching some tasty waves and letting the ball roll down into the surf and timing his retrieval to not get his feet wet.
