Time is running out to present objections to National Register of Historic Places nomination

If you live within the Boca Grande residential historic district and you aren’t comfortable with the possibility of your neighborhood being placed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is not too late to let Tallahassee know.

On Thursday, Aug. 5 the Florida National Register Review Board will make its recommendation regarding the determination of eligibility to the Register, regardless of the fact that a majority of the residents in the district, the Boca Grande Historic Preservation Board and the Lee County Historic Preservation Board voted against it.
