book-the masterOn Thursday, Feb. 11, Linda May and Jo Van Zoeren will be presenting “The Master,” by the Irish writer Colm Toibin.
This novel, his fifth, was shortlisted for the 2004 Booker Prize and depicts the American-born writer Henry James in the final years of the 19th century. It is a compelling portrait of a complex bachelor genius in his mid-fifties coping with the troubling issue of his unresolved sexuality.
The meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. in the Woman’s Club Room of the Community Center, and all are welcome.
