To the Editor:

Everyone is invited to join the Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership 2020 Watershed Summit on June 1-2, 2020, with the theme “From Heartland to Coast: Protecting our Water, Wildlife, and Future.”

The Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Program (CHNEP) is a partnership to protect and restore water and wildlife habitat in Central and Southwest Florida. Every three years, the CHNEP hosts the Watershed Summit to bring stakeholders together to learn about current research and restoration efforts as well as critical environmental issues affecting our watershed. The Summit will be held in four sessions that support the primary actions of the CHNEP as listed below. Registration is free but required in advance of the event, with separate registrations for each of the four sessions.

Sponsors include WGCU Public Media and the Florida Section of the American Water Resources Association. Additionally, AWRA is providing Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) to summit attendees. Presenters will include entities such as Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, South and Southwest Florida Water Management Districts, Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation, and the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. Please share the attached flyer within your organization and with any stakeholders who may benefit from attending this virtual scientific symposium!
