Friends of Boca Grande,
On behalf of the Hope for Haitian Committee, I want to again thank you, the Boca Grande community, for your support in our Haiti projects. For the seventh year we have made our goal, and earlier than any previous year.
This year you contributed enough money to build 27 homes, a community center/church in Gressier and provided 100 chairs for our school in the first village we built, Pierrie Peyen.
Haiti is the poorest country in this hemisphere. The Haitian people, who live in deplorable conditions, have been blessed by your generosity over the past seven years by building 227 homes, two dorms, lighting, a clinic, water wells, three community centers/churches, two schools, farms and planting hundreds of fruit trees as well as meeting other miscellaneous needs, totaling $1,827,000.
This has truly been a wonderful humanitarian project. God’s blessings on each one of you.
