Hang loose with the Barrier Island Parks Society for a 1950s and ’60s beach blast from the past good time at the Green Gala on Monday, March 19 with a theme of “Catching A Wave.” The event will be held under the tent at the Boca Bay Pass Club.
Grab your board and head to high tide where the drinks are cool, the food tasty, and entertainment
epic. Partygoers are encouraged to don their favorite beach attire, but if you’re not in swimsuit shape yet, don’t worry. Just be comfortable; anything goes … cover-ups, hats, flip flops, sunglasses and colorful Hawaiian camp shirts. Don’t forget about those classic beehive hairdos and bandana scarves.
The night includes a beach buffet with comfort food, bidding on exciting auction items and dancing to the band California Surf, Inc. – all former Beach Boys band members – that will take us through a musical journey of Beach Boys classic hits. Wesley Locke will be leading everyone through some of those memorable dances from the past. Remember “The Stroll”?
Just a few tickets are left. Purchase individual tickets for $150 per person by calling the Lighthouse at 964-0600.
