The Englewood Invitational Fall Art Festival is slated for Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 29-30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. While previously held at Englewood Elks Lodge, the art show has moved to Pioneer Plaza park, 325 W. Dearborn St.
Fifty award-winning, high-quality artists and craftspeople will make up this year’s fine art showcase, and every media will be represented. The show will be a great opportunity for holiday shopping and there will be something unique for everyone.
“I am very excited about this year’s show,” said local artist and chairperson Carroll Swayze. “I have wanted to move the art festival downtown for many years, but scheduling has always been a problem. This year the stars have aligned, and we are moving the show to Pioneer Plaza at 325 W. Dearborn Street, Englewood. The Art Festival will be a welcome addition to our community bringing fine quality art to our already creative downtown. This year I have teamed up with the Lemon Bay Woman’s Club, which will have a booth on site to commemorate the 100th anniversary of their clubhouse and I think it’s a good fit. As long-time residents of the community, we all have a history here and it will be wonderful to celebrate their historic Club during the Art Festival.”

The Englewood Invitational Fall Art Festival is the perfect place for local homeowners and visitors to find new and unique artwork to decorate their homes and meet artists from all over the country. There will be a wide variety of fine art and fine crafts, from handmade jewelry to large original watercolors, acrylics and oils, sculptures, blown glass, pottery, metalwork and photography.
Free parking is provided. For directions and more information call Carroll Swayze at (941) 266-6434.
