Boca Grande Fire Department landscaping gets a boost

Brent Benson donated his hurricane check and landscape work to the Boca Grande Fire Department. The project took four full days, and he finished on Monday, Oct. 28. He runs Artisan Landscaping and Curbing and has a degree in Landscape Architecture.

Benson had a few people from his company help him with the landscape work, but did most of it himself. He was planning to landscape the area the past couple years, but COVID and hurricanes kept pushing the project back.

“It’s [BGFD] the center of the island; it’s the beacon, so it had to be done,” he said.
