State seeks bids for Sea Grape bathroom at Gasparilla Island State Park

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction is soliciting sealed contractor bids for a new Sea Grape Restroom at the Gasparilla Island State Park.

Contractors must be licensed to work in this jurisdiction, and bids must be submitted no later than 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25. 

The contractor will provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting for construction of the restroom. Builder’s Risk Insurance is required for this project and must be included in the bid price. 

The bid will be posted no later than 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, unless extended by the department for good cause. 

Pursuant to a state order, the project must be constructed in accordance with green building standards. The parking area is off of Gulf Boulevard.
