Allegiant Travel Company on May 30 began seasonal service from Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) to Huntington, West Virginia. This is part of the airline’s latest seasonal expansion in 66 cities across the country and 81 different routes. The flights to Huntington, West Virginia serve Huntington Tri-State Airport (HTS).

At Fort Myers Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), Breeze Airways has announced its latest crew base in Fort Myers, marking the startup airline’s third hub out of Florida.

“Breeze’s operations from Fort Myers have proven exceptionally popular,” said Breeze Airways president, Tom Doxey, in a statement.

In October, Breeze will launch twice-weekly service from Manchester, New Hampshire; Newburgh, New York; Lansing, Michigan; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Bangor, Maine. The airline offers more than a dozen year-round flights to Southwest Florida International Airport.

Other new air service at RSW include Frontier Airlines flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) weekly, starting June 2 and Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) weekly.

JetBlue Airways Worcester (ORH) has weekly, seasonal services, and Spirit Airlines will have a weekly service to Bangor, Maine (BGR) starting Oct. 5 and one to San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) weekly, year-round.
