Ruth Adair Newman, 93, of Boca Grande, Florida, formerly of Seville, Ohio died Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in Medina. Ruth Adair Newman, 93, of Boca Grande, Florida, formerly of Seville, Ohio died Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in Medina.
Adair was born February 23, 1926 in Milwaukie, Oregon to Thomas and Ruth {Flynn} Remly.
She married Joseph Newman on October 8th, 1951. He passed on August 5th, 2001.
Adair was an RN at the Veterans Hospital and Lodi Hospital. She was also a piano teacher in Seville, Medina and Florida.
Adair was a member of the United Methodist Church of Boca Grande. She was a world traveler, enjoyed playing music on her harp, hammer dulcimer and piano. Adair always enjoyed learning new things.
Adair will be deeply missed by her children Mark Newman of Duluth, GA, Joan (Max) Bassler of Hampshire, IL, Laurie Hauke of Bushnell, FL, Carol (Doug) Stewart of Boca Grande, FL, Thomas (Ginny) Newman of Littletown, Colo., and Nancy (David) Huskins of Wadsworth, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Adair was preceded in death by her husband, daughter-in-law Gale, son-in-law Jeff.
