Beth was born and raised in Clarion, Pa. by late parents Jerald L. and Virginia Gross. She was very active in the Methodist Church and various high school activities. She attended West Virginia University, where she and husband Ed met.
After their marriage Beth and Ed moved to Rochester, N.Y. Beth was involved with her husband’s career in the automobile industry, with several automobile dealerships and car wash operations.
Of primary consideration to Beth were her family and daughters Lorraine and Amy, who always were inspired by their mother’s determination to have them give maximum effort and dedication to their endeavors.
Beth’s love of horses led to her daughter’s being involved competitively with hunter/jumper horses in events throughout western New York and Pennsylvania.
The Paxton family’s love of boating began in the early 1970s, ultimately leading to cruising the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway and Atlantic Coast of the United States.
Beth was very involved with all aspects of boating and was an expert navigator. Her never-ending determination to excel at all and all endeavors will be the crowning legacy Beth leaves to her loving husband and family.
