Heather Gardner, born to Tom and Beverly Gardner on November 16, 1998, passed away on September 21, 2021.
Heather was a graduate of Riverdale High School and pursued her Associates Degree in Healthcare Management at Florida Southwestern. She was a lifelong resident of the Buckingham community, and an active volunteer in the community with Lee Heath, Crossroads Baptist Church and Conquering CHD.
Heather’s passions included spending time with family, friends, but most of all caring for others. Her favorite football teams were the New York Jets, and the Florida Gators. She enjoyed watching NASCAR with her father cheering on driver Kyle Busch.
Heather was 17 years old when diagnosed with leukemia at the beginning of her high school senior year. Her battle ended at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa on September 21.
She is survived by her mother and father Beverly & Tom Gardner; brother Michael Gardner; grandmothers Audrey Solomon (mother’s side); Carol Morales (father’s side); step-grandmother Jane Gardner (father’s side); step-grandfather Bill Morales (father’s side); and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Grandfathers George Solomon, and Morris Gardner.
Heather had a smile that was as bright as a star. She was always looking out for those before worrying about herself. Her love will carry on through each of us.
