Islander Natalie Spurgeon, who now resides at Loveland Center in Venice, competed in a Special Olympics event on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 in Sebastian, FL. She earned two gold medals – one for breaststroke and one for the relay event.
“I was glad to be involved in the Special Olympics again. My team and I drove across the state to Sebastian. We spent two nights and had a fun time, but I am glad to be home,” Natalie said.
