Dear Editor and friends of the Boca Grande Hope For Haitians Committee,
We’ve exceeded our goal!
On behalf of the Boca Grande Hope for Haitians Committee, the people of Haiti, the most impoverished population in our hemisphere, and Food For The Poor, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to you for your contribution toward this year’s project goal. We are amazed and very happy to report that your generosity has helped us exceed the goal of 30 homes and 25 wells. With your support, we raised more than $425,000 which will provide an additional 3 homes. This year, you made possible the blessing of 33 homes in the community of Savann Kabrit and 25 water wells in four Haitian communities.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought severe challenges and despair for the most vulnerable in Haiti with lasting economic damages for this suffering nation in our hemisphere. But you have been an instrument to help the people of Haiti overcome hopelessness through your compassion and generosity.
You’ve truly helped to make a transformational difference! In the impoverished community of Savann Kabrit, located in Thomazeau, Haiti, residents live exposed to the elements in makeshift homes built out of mud, sticks and scrap metal. The provision of a safe shelter is an unforgettable blessing for a family in need. Additionally, with many Haitian citizens unable to access clean water, maintaining proper hygiene is even more challenging. Hand-washing and other means of sanitization are imperative in stopping the spread of COVID-19 and the 25 water wells will help make this possible for these communities.
Thank you for being an instrument of hope in the face of despair! We thank God for you and may He bless you for your kindness.
