Letters: Communications group Auxcomm appreciates Beacon support

Thank you for the standby Emergency Operations Center announcement coverage in this week’s Beacon. The emphasis in bold you added in the highlights & system overview section should make it high impact. That is, with readers completely new to the AUXCOMM project.
There will be more to publish as the EOC rapidly takes shape and other objectives are steadily accomplished. The project is accelerating, propelled by very generous financial support thus far from island organizations and individuals.
Again, the Beacon’s coverage of this critically important project is greatly appreciated by the Fire Department – and I’m sure, by many islanders.
