Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call from an island resident on Thursday, Aug. 1 regarding a stolen golf cart charger from her fenced yard.
According to reports, the victim said sometime between July 25 and August 1, someone came into her yard and took her golf cart battery charger, which was under a green tote.
The victim was unsure of the make, model or serial number, but she said it was silver and in good working order.
The victim estimated the value of the charger at approximately $400, and that no one had permission to enter her yard to use or remove the charger for any reason.
The investigation continues.
