Island School/BGAA host show this weekend, RPP to hold auditions next week

Students from The Island School will present their year’s worth of artwork at the first Island School exhibit that the Boca Grande Art Alliance is hosting, beginning today.
The show is open for viewing Friday, April, 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. It is free to attend. The BGAA is located at 236 Banyan Street. Call 964-1700.
On Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m. the Royal Palm Players will hold open auditions for next year’s plays on Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m. at the Boca Grande Community Center Auditorium. You’ll have a chance to meet the directors and audition for the staged reading or the big comedy, which requires memorization.
If you are already one of RPP’s stars and want to help to read scenes during the audition, your help would be appreciated.
If you can’t make the open audtion or already perform with RPP, call Kathy at 964-2670 and tell her you want to be considered for a part next year. A skype audition can be arranged, if necessary.
