The first meeting of the Boca Grande Parking Committee will be held on Wednesday, April 22 at 1 p.m.
The public meeting, which will include all 15 members of the committee as well as Lee County staff, will not only hear comments from the general public, but will serve as an introduction.
The meeting at the Boca Grande Community Center Auditorium will be called to order by Michael Jacob, the Lee County deputy county attorney. Jacob will also give the public and the members of the committee a briefing on Robert’s Rules of Order. Jacob will lead discussion on the ordinance and the administrative code that helps implement its enforcement.
A public comment period will allow anyone three minutes to talk about the ordinance. The group will also have to decide on a next meeting date. There is free parking at the Community Center. The agenda:

The members of the committee are appointed by all five Lee Commissioners. They are Hugh Sullivan and Louis A. Sarkes, and Boo T. Gemes; Bart DeStefano and Cheryl W. Schum, along with Ronald Drake; Tanya (Nikki) Heimann and Kimberly G. Whipple, and Sara (Sally) B. Downey; Richard D. Weber and Barbara McLaughlin, along with Sandy K. Stilwell Youngquist; and Richard J. Ganong and Mark A. Spurgeon, along with Bruce A. Kenan.
