ISLAND LEO BEAT: Deputies respond domestic battery scene at The Temp

The Lee County deputies attended to a domestic altercation on Tuesday, March 19 at 1:40 p.m. at a local drinking establishment. According to deputy reports, the complainant was sitting at The Temptation for a family and friend fathering when he observed another man enter the room with a very agitated look on his face.
Reports indicate that the two men had had words in the past, so the complainant told the bartender to call the sheriff’s office immediately.
Reports indicate the second man walked over to the bar where the complainant was, started verbally abusing him and then punched him in the face approximately 15 times with a closed fist. Staff and other patrons of the bar pulled the men apart. When that happened the aggressor ran out the door.
The complainant determined he did not want to press charges, but did fill out a statement.
The report was filed as a domestic because the two men are related.
