By Boca Beacon Reader
Annie Margarita will arrive in Boca Grande for her one-person exhibit on Monday, April 25. She will be bringing an assortment of the most amazing leather rod and reel cases that you’ve ever seen. We hope you can arrange to stop by and chat with her. She will be available for commissions. If you or your children or grandchildren fly fish or just love fishing of any kind, Annie can hand-fabricate rod cases, reel cases, rifle cases – any kind of a case, or strap or leather goods for your outdoor adventures.

A year-and-a-half ago, Annie Margarita, her fiancé Bert and his two children lost everything in the McKenzie Fire in September of 2020. Over 173,000 acres burned and left many folks with nothing, including Annie and her family. But Annie was a Marine, and she’s survived many challenges. She refocused, and with the help of many friends (some she has never even met from right here in Boca Grande) she started over. It occurred to me, as I watched this valiant human and her family, walk through this catastrophe, that perhaps Hughes Gallery could help.
