A final paving update: Yes, they’re done!

Commuters to the island are smiling today as the AJAX road paving project on the island is now finished. Lee County Government Communications Director Betsy Clayton said all the paving was completed as of yesterday, since today (Friday, Dec. 23) is a county holiday. There will be some additional post-paving work, such as removing excess soil and putting down sod. The crews will clear out completely in the first week of 2017.
