Chili Challenge and Firehouse 5K this weekend

The Grande Firehouse 5k, followed by the Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce Big Mouth Chili Challenge is on Saturday, Nov. 15.
The race, hosted by the Boca Grande Fire Department begins at 8 a.m. with packet pick-up from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. at the Bayou. Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday night; there are no same-day registrations
The Chili Cookoff starts at 10 a.m., also at 4th Street and Bayou. Tickets are $2, or $10 for six tickets. There will be a raffle, music and chili tasting. Prizes for best restaurant, best individual and people’s choice will be awarded.
