Children’s programs planned at Johann Fust Library this summer

The Johann Fust Community Library invites all children who have completed kindergarten to come and explore a variety of programs, including puppet and magic shows, juggling and crafts.Family story time will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, June 21, June 28, July 5, July 12, July 19 and July 26. Kids will learn simple practices using talking, singing, reading and writing to help prepare them to develop reading skills. The entire family is invited to the story time events, which will be held at the library.
Solve This! is a creative, imaginative program to help keep brains healthy and sharp.
Children can team up to solve riddles and re-enact mystery charades in this presentation with teaching artist Gladys Varga at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22 a the Boca Grande Community Center.
The Race of the Tortoise and the Hare – Fables for a Fit Life will teach strength, character and flexibility in a conflict and endurance through tough times, emphasizing efforts to live a healthy life. It will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6. Story telling with Windell Campbell will take place on Wednesday, July 13. Campbell will take the audience along on an exciting journey, using his voice and puppets to bring a story to life for audience members.
Go for the Gold! is planned to take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20. Join Alexandra and Sidney, the live parrot, on a journey that starts on Mount Olympus and takes the audience on an action-packed thrill ride filled with magic, music and comedy.
