Remember back in the day when you used to be able to go to our website and watch the world go by in downtown Boca Grande? Those days are here again, my friends, because the Boca Beacon webcam is back in business.
Right now we’re still aiming it right down Park Avenue facing Hudson’s Grocery, but we may take requests from time to time to move it. There’s lots of interesting things going on down there, even in July. Just this Friday morning the tree trimmers came and cut down the palm fronds on the tree outside the window, and you could have had a fine view of that. In September you should be able to see a dog or cat taking a nap around the center yellow line.
Keep in mind, even if you live here year-round or think you know everything there is to know about our island, you should give the Boca Grande app a try. It’s available now in the app store for Apple, and in the Google Play store for Android users. If you’re having issues and can’t find the app from an iPad, when you do your search make sure you click on “iPhone only” in the upper lefthand corner. For some reason, right now it doesn’t like the “iPad” option, so we’ll leave it at that.
The Boca Grande app is a great tool to recommend to out-of-town visitors, or for those who just love the island.
If you’re having any issues, stop by our office at 431 Park Avenue or go by the post office and pick up one of our app cards in the information holders.
