Here are a few organizations where donations are being accepted and local assistance is being offered. Please continue to check back, as the list may change:

Boca Grande Disaster Fund:

This fund is led by Lighthouse Methodist Church of Boca Grande (see page 10), and its purpose is to assist businesses, nonprofits and churches in Boca Grande.

Boca Grande Woman’s Club:

This fund has been established to assist individuals and businesses of the Boca Grande community in providing financial support due to hardships incurred with Hurricane Ian. (See page 10 for more info.)

Donors may contribute online at bocagrandewomansclub.org/hurricane-ian-recovery-fund or mail checks made out to Boca Grande Woman’s Club, P. O. Box 65, Boca Grande, FL 33921. (Please note Hurricane Ian Recovery Fund or “HIRF” in the memo line of your check.)

Boca Grande Charities:

This fund is an established one that supports local needs on an as-needed basis. It recently was used to get fuel to locals and Little Gasparilla Islanders for generators when the power was out for Hurricane Ian. 

The Board of Directors consists of Capt. Sandy Melvin, Ron Walker and Pat Waterhouse.
