Keylime Bistro is reopening in the Depot building Saturday morning, April 26.
“It’s been tough going through this, but the light at the end of the tunnel is that we have a brand new kitchen and flooring with a beautifully renovated restaurant,” wrote Owner Sandy Stilwell Youngquist in her announcement.
Stilwell’s grandson Tristen moved to Southwest Florida to assist Keylime Bistro’s general manager alongside the restaurant’s team for the reopening.
“We are blessed and are excited to start serving residents and guests once again,” Stillwell wrote.
Youngquist and her Stilwell Enterprises and Restaurant Group did a complete rebuild of the interior of her restaurant, along with buying all new equipment.
The restaurant opened in 2022 and was previously called the Loose Caboose. It is now officially the Keylime Bistro and Loose Caboose Ice Cream and Candy Shop.
After Hurricane Helene, the restaurant quickly reopened, but Hurricane Milton, with its higher water, flooded the entire railroad station.
It required a complete gutting of the interior.
