Englewood Beach parking lot reopens April 2; beach shuttle announced

Charlotte County announced that the southern entrance to Englewood Beach parking lot will reopen on Wednesday, April 2, providing pedestrian access onto the beach. Parking spaces will be limited.

In addition, Charlotte County Transit will provide a park and ride service to the beach from Tringali Park located at 3460 N. Access Road in Englewood. This pilot program will operate 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Saturday. The shuttle will depart Tringali Park at the top of each hour and the bottom of the hour from Chadwick Park.

The remainder of Englewood Beach park will remain closed due to safety concerns. Portable toilets will be available for temporary restroom facilities. Patrons are advised to only use designated “dune walk through” access points and to be diligent and alert for hazards.
