RED TIDE REPORT

We have a lot of red tide. 

Over the past week,red tide was detected in 171 samples from and offshore of Southwest Florida. Bloom concentrations (>100,000 cells/liter) were present in 94 samples from Southwest Florida including 22 in and offshore of Sarasota County, 9 in and offshore of Charlotte County and 25 in and offshore of Lee County. In Southwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was observed at background to high concentrations in and offshore of Sarasota County, very low to high concentrations in and offshore of Charlotte County and background to high concentrations in and offshore of Lee County.
