A Punta Gorda woman has been arrested after she was discovered on video engaging in a sexual act with the family dog.
Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office detectives began an investigation after learning of social media posts that alleged that a woman had engaged in sexual activity with a pet dog. Investigators made contact with the person who made the allegations and obtained sworn statements and digital evidence of the claims. The digital evidence was determined to be from a home surveillance system inside the residence.
On Sept. 15, the woman, identified as Malia Elizabeth Nummerdor, was interviewed about the footage and confirmed the individual in the picture was her and the dog seen was the family pet. When asked about the nature of the incident, Nummerdor denied anything sexual occurring but could not provide a consistent explanation for what was seen on the camera. She then requested an attorney, ending the interview. She was placed under arrest on charges of sexual activity involving animals, a second-degree felony. She is being held with a bond of $35,000.
