Visitors from Germany recognize reckless behavior

To the Editor:
Having read your editorial, we are wondering about the recklessness of visitors coming to the island in leaving junk and trash at the beach, at the parking places, etc. We are visiting the island frequently but do live in Germany.
We do respect the privacy of homeowners by not parking close to the beach. We walk sometimes some hundred yards to the beach.
We do not leave trash or junk behind. We do shop in Boca Grande “downtown.”
We do have a break at the Inn Bakery or the Grapevine or at Hudson’s.
We do expect that other visitors are behaving the same and not using the island as a landfill.
