A management plan for Cayo Costa was up in the air, with most locals wanting the park to stay exactly the way it was.

A spokesperson for CBS who said part of the 1983 Miss Teenage America Pageant would be filmed in Boca Grande was proven wrong all because of a crane, and a scene from the movie “A Flash of Green” was filmed in the area because, they said, it was “so 60s.”
