The weather has been great the last two weeks and the fish are on the move in the back country.

We are starting to see the snook come back in numbers along with some quality size fish being caught on white bait.

Along with the snook, the redfish have been biting, but you’ll have to pick and choose the tides in order to get on the best bite for the redfish. Similarly the trout have been biting as well.

As the water temps warm up we expect to see the pompano fishing cool off. But as of right now we are still catching scattered pompano which make for a great meal.

And finally with the water temperatures rising, tarpon should be on everyone’s mind. It’s still a bit early, but as we creep our way into spring tarpon will be everywhere before you know it. Make sure to book your tarpon trips now before it’s too late.

Get out in the water and enjoy our great Boca Grande fishing.
