STAFF REPORT – The 35th Annual Bike Path “Grande” Parade will be held next Saturday, March 13, with heat times running between 10:30 to 11 a.m. (no regular line-up due to social distancing). Registration deadline is Thursday, March 11. Even if you do not register for the parade, you can still come out and watch!
Entrants will start at 5th Street and will head south on the Bike Path to the Community Center, where they will be given a socially-distanced area to park for the Woman’s Club Dog Show poster viewing and Bike Path Parade awards.
Social distancing and masks are required for all participants and congregating in large groups during this event is not allowed.
Misty Nichols, executive director of the GICIA, will be the Grande Parade Marshal of the Wild West Parade, in honor of the GICIA’s 30th Anniversary. “High Dog” Hank Cox will be the Emcee of the Awards Program. Jeff Moore, President of the Board and Maureen O’Nell, Executive Director of the Suncoast Humane Society will be bestowing ribbons upon the contestants and winners.
