On September 18, 2016 Thomas Fredrick Schoonover, 87, passed away surrounded by the love of his wife and family. He died from Lewy Body Dementia which he courageously battled for the past seven years.
On June 3, 1929, Tom was born in Limeridge, WI to Carl and Constance Schoonover. The following year the family moved to Chippewa Falls, but by the fall of 1932 the Schoonover family came to call Holcombe their home. After graduating in 1947, Tom attended Eau Claire State Teachers College where he met the love of his life, and his favorite hunting and fishing partner, Marilyn Stolp, of Eau Claire. They were married on June 21, 1950.
The Schoonovers were homeowners in the Boca Grande Club.
