On March 18, 2016, after battling leukemia for two years, Kay Frances Bell let go and made the decision to fly with the angels. Her passing was quiet and serene.
She has been a resident of Boca Grande since 1994.
Kay was born in Flint, Michigan on October 2, 1949. She is survived by her parents, Dale and Jean Wilson; her husband, Dr. Patrick Bell; her son, Jason Bell; her daughter, Rebecca DeBoer; two grandchildren, Ava Bell, Brendan Parks (and a baby on the way); and five siblings: Ann Dobbs, Beth Pascoe, Dru Mitchell, Rod Wilson, and Jane Ranville.
For those of you who did not know her, Kay was one of the most loving, giving, and compassionate women you could ever imagine.
Even in her last hours, she was more concerned with her family than herself. She was a career Registered Nurse, but more than that an angel. She never quit caring for others. She was active in the Boca Grande Community Center as a volunteer for children’s activities. Her passion was landscaping her home.
Her family and friends will forever miss her beautiful smile and warm heart.
