Born in New Rochelle, N.Y, on March 13, 1933, Joe attended Tabor Academy and graduated from Williams College Class of 1954. He served in the United States Army, 71st Infantry Division, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Joe attended New York Law School and served as Editor of the Law Review and Magister of Dwight Inn of Phi Delta Phi National Legal Fraternity.
He received his JD Degree in Law and was awarded the Moot Court Prize upon his graduation in 1958.
Joe met Jennie Snider on a cruise to Bermuda, with whom he recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Joe was proud to work alongside his father, J. Lester, and brother, Thomas B. Albertson, at their law firm.
He was active in the New Rochelle Boys Club, New Rochelle Day Nursery, New Rochelle Presbyterian Church and the New Rochelle Hospital.
Joe loved the water and his boat, Rebel, whether on Long Island or Gasparilla Sound.
He is survived by his spouse Jennie, his three children Joe, Margaret, and Jennie. He had four grandchildren Kevin, Molly, Lizzy, Katy, and one great grandchild, Bowen.
