New Physician to Join Boca Grande Health Clinic

The Boca Grande Health Clinic is pleased to announce that Bret Kueber, M.D. will join the Clinic early next year as a full-time physician alongside Raymond A. James, D.O. and Thomas J. Ervin, M.D.
“I am very excited to welcome Dr. Kueber to the Clinic,” said Mark Driscoll, Boca Grande Health Clinic chief executive officer. “He brings a great blend of medical training and experience and a strong passion for providing personalized care. I’m confident he will quickly become an active member of the community and a great asset to the Island.”
Dr. Kueber (pronounced KEE-brr) is a Family Medicine specialist in Garrett, Indiana. He will be joining the Clinic after 16 years of Complimentary and Integrative Medicine / Family Practice as part of the Parkview Physicians Group.
Dr. Kueber received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Practice at the Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified in Family Medicine. As an avid sportsman, he has a special interest in sports medicine and is a strong believer in complementary medicine, herbal supplements, food as medicine and the value of healthy living.
“I am really looking forward to joining the team at Boca Grande Health Clinic. I love the variety of family medicine and the relationships you can form,” said Dr. Kueber. “The opportunity to practice in a place that allows me to take time with patients, really get to know and understand their needs and give them that personalized care is appealing to me.”
The allure of the Island is a bonus. Dr. Kueber has been vacationing in Boca Grande for years and has a place just off island already, where he enjoys spending time outdoors and fishing with his two teenage children.
Originally an aeronautical engineer (with a degree from Purdue University), he joined the local fire department in Cleveland where a physician mentor talked him into going into medical school after he finished his paramedic training. He is also a pilot with his own aircraft, and he’s an American patriot, having served as a doctor in the Army Reserves following 9/11.
Dr. Kueber will initially spend a couple of weeks in January and February on Island getting to know the Clinic’s practices and patients and will be full time beginning in March.
