The Boca Grande Historical Society is announcing changes in the organization. The Society has grown significantly in the last several years and now plans to increase its staff.

Kimberly Kyle, who has so ably served the organization for many years, has been appointed to administrative director, in accordance with a recently adopted strategic plan. The board of the Society wishes to acknowledge Kim’s positive legacy and imprint on the Society and looks forward to her continued contributions to the organization.

The Society is commencing a search for an executive director who will lead the Society into the future. The new position requires an experienced leader, with strong strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, programming, financial management, technology, systems, data and leadership skills.

The History Center and Historical Society are busy fielding requests for information and welcoming visitors to their exhibits. To visit the Center, call 964-1600 or email kkyle@leegov.com to arrange an appointment.  

Masks and social distancing guidelines are being observed. If you would like to lend photos, letters or other information to the archives, we are able to scan the materials and return the originals.
