LETTER TO THE EDITOR: A three-inch gap is not enough

To the Editor:
I understand that the rocks on the Promenade were put there as some sort of public service to prevent golf cart access.
That seems to be a very good idea, but I wonder if the Beacon could sponsor a competition for its readers to submit an estimate of how close together rocks need to be to prevent a golf cart passing between them?
As a hint, golf carts are 48 inches wide, so my answer would be about 47 inches, or rather wider than the three-inch gap at 3rd Street.
Yours,
