To the Editor:
Kevin Hagan, president of Englewood Bank & Trust, announced that the bank is collecting new unwrapped toys for “Toys for Tots,” and clothes for children ages newborn to two years old and nine to sixteen years old. All items will be donated to children in Englewood and Charlotte County.
We are proud to be able to support our community with a local toy drive.
The items will be accepted at all Englewood Bank & Trust locations: 1111 S. McCall Road, 12651 S. McCall Road, 8725 Placida Road, and 301 Park Ave., Boca Grande during regular business hours.
“Toys for Tots” is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and it is organized locally by the Cape Haze Kiwanis. With the support of many volunteers, the “Toys for Tots” program helps distribute toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy gifts for Christmas.
Volunteers are needed to assist with filling the toy orders in time for distribution. For more information, visit the “Toys for Tots” Charlotte County website: toysccfl.com or call (941) 375-7312.
Englewood Bank & Trust has five locations in the Englewood-Cape Haze area, including the Englewood office, 1111 S. McCall Road, Englewood; Cape Haze office, 8725 Placida Rd. #10, Placida; Gulf Cove office, 12651 South McCall Road, Port Charlotte; Boca Grande office, 301 Park Ave., Boca Grande; and the Venice Loan and Trust Office, 341 W.
