Next Wednesday, the Charlotte County Commission will again take up the issue of Boca Grande parking. The Nov. 12 meeting has an agenda item relating to Boca Grande parking which reads, “Consider adopting a Resolution initiating Florida Statute Chapter 164 Conflict Resolution Procedures relating to parking on Boca Grande.”

Chapter 164 is a state-mandated process between jurisdictions in Florida that have differences and describes the process that they must use to resolve them.

The 9 a.m. meeting also has items related to the renovations at the Placida Boat Ramp, which is under renovation. The item would contract an amendment to #19-523, Master Site Plan & Design – Placida West Boat Ramp Expansion with Coastal Engineering Consultants of Bonita Springs, in the amount of $310,600. This is for project cost changes due to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers comments and requirements as well as a redesign of the restroom building proposed.

A separate item for the park in Placida is for Florida Premier Contractors of Punta Gorda in the amount of $82,053 for additional pre-construction services.

The last Placida item would approve the award of State Forested Saltwater Credits in File #26-049, for Placida Municipal Boat Ramp to Little Pine Island Wetland Mitigation Bank for the total amount of $456,000.
